Was I ever so angry when I saw the finale of Rock of Love 2 with Bret Michaels! First of all, I love the show, but I hate to watch because I am a huge Bret Michaels and Poison fan, so seeing him hook up with other girls tugs at my heartstrings a bit. But, I tried to be a good sport about it and pick the girl who I thought he should end up with.
Well, I couldn’t have been more disappointed when he picked Ambre Lake, a 37-year old actress from Alabama. Now I do agree that Bret should be with someone closer to his age; he’s 44. But, someone her age, although she is not old by any means, should not be announcing on live television that she isn’t wearing any underwear. That seems to scream desperation to me.
Secondly, she ripped on all the other girls for being on there for fame and notoriety, yet receives no backlash for being a television personality. The part I love most about her fakeness is that she even posts her resume at www.famousvh1friends.com, a site where participants in the show can interact with their fans. The whole point of the website is to tell others about yourself, not to try to promote yourself. She also posts a link to her “official” website, www.ambrelake.com, including in her acting experiences “Rock of Love: 2″ starring as Ambre. Umm, why the hell does your occupation matter if you are on the show to find love? Everyone wanted her to win because she was “real”, but you can’t get more fake than when you have to use falling in love as an excuse to spice up your resume.
Hopefully, Bret sees right through her and realizes she’s only on the show to become famous. However, I don’t think she’ll get very far, because most people are not comfortable imagining someone their mother’s age going commando. That is just soooo wrong. Ambre Lake…more like Ambre Fake.
